  • Christmas From Homebase

    Homebase Logo

A huge festive hug for Homebase, who very kindly donated not one but two Christmas trees!

Pupils from Ysgol pen Coch and Ysgol Gwynedd were invited by Homebase to choose a Xmas tree so that both schools could have a tree in their joint Reception Area. Once back at school pupils from both schools set about decorating it. Ask the children when you visit one or both of our schools why they gave us two trees. We think HOMEBASE are AMAZING!!

What will the tree look like?

    Lots to do

    Working Hard on the tree

    Nice job

    • Asda's Donation

Local Asda customers nominated Ysgol Pen Coch to receive a very generous gift of £100.  The Head teacher  received the donation from Asda’s Manager in the school on Friday 3rd May 3, 2013.  Ms Anderson showed Asda staff around the school and thanked them for their generosity.  The money will be used to purchase items for the children of Pen Coch.

        Smiley Bus Award

        Smiley Bus Award

The Morgan Foundation donated a smiley bus to the school. Ysgol Pen Coch only had to put £5000 towards the cost of the brand new minibus. The school is very grateful to the foundation.

The vehicles are  fully adapted for use by physically disabled passengers . Ysgol Pen Coch was carefully consulted on it's needs to ensure the correct adaptations were achieved. The bus was finished with the Morgan Foundation Smiley bus logo and the children were delighted!

The provision of a Morgan Foundation Smiley Bus will enable the children to access activities and events outside of their day to day environment, to attend sporting and educational classes and to enjoy educational trips out in the community.
