Admission Arrangements
Admission arrangements
Pupils are admitted to the school following a request from the Local Authority. Children over the age of 5 are placed at Ysgol Pen Coch following a full multidisciplinary assessment and will usually have a Statement of Special Educational Needs or a statutory assessment. Once a request has been made to admit a child of any age to the school a member of staff will contact parents and make arrangements for them to visit if they have not already done so. Following this visit the practical details will be arranged between the family and the school so that the child can have a positive introduction to Ysgol Pen Coch
Ysgol Pen Coch caters for approximately 95 pupils with statements of additional learning needs (ALN) and provides for a range of educational statemented needs including severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and autistic spectrum conditions (ASC)
