  • School Social Media - X (Twitter)

    During term time classes post activities and news on X (Twitter) on a frequent basis.  Please follow @YsgolPenCoch to keep up to date with what the children are learning and getting up to, and reports on school activities.  School notices, eg: publicity or reminders for events, do not appear on X.  Families will receive this information directly through the Class Dojo app.

        Contact - for families with disabled children provides support for parents and carers with a disabled child aged from birth to 25. Your child can have any kind of disability or additional need, and you do not need to have a diagnosis.

          DAFFODILS is a Flintshire charity which provides leisure and recreational activities for children and young people up to the age of 25 who have additional learning needs or disability, along with their parents, carers and siblings.  Parents/carers must attend with their child or young person, who must become a member of DAFFODILS.  Parent/carer support is gained by joining the activities and events on a regular basis.

              Flintshire Families Disability Service believes that every disabled child and young person has the right to a safe and happy childhood and the foundations they need to thrive.  FFDS runs services and activities for children and young people aged to 25 with a range of physical and neurological issues to building life skills, social interaction and develop personal and interpersonal skills in inclusive and non judgemental ways.

                North East Wales Carers' Information Service provides a lifeline to carers of all ages and backgrounds in North East Wales and offers a range of services tailored to meet individual needs.  Services include information about financial support, respite scheme, carer needs assessments, young carers, counselling, training, peer support groups, hospital support and much more.  NEWCIS can help carers get the information, guidance and support they need to help them in their caring role.

                  SNAP Cymru offers free and independent information, advice and support to help get the right education for children and young people with all kinds of additional learning needs and disabilities.  They give advice and support on a range of issues including assessments, individual development plans, bullying, school attendance, exclusion, health and social care provision and discrimination.  They also provide advocacy, disagreement resolution, discrimination advice, advocacy and training for young people, parents/carers and professionals.
